About Us

As an artistic husband & wife team, owners Dave and Mari have a passion for not only creating beautiful and functional art, but also for doing what they can to help improve the world around them through reclaiming old items and recreating them into new pieces, as well as utilizing old wood. Its from this shared passion that MIll & Forge was created, which has allowed them to combine their passion for art with sustainable living into one focused effort.

Dave was born in L.A., moving to the Atlanta area as a teen. Living in the suburbs after having spent his entire life in the city he spent his time tinkering in the garage for hours on end to fill his new-found boredom. His passion started with woodworking and quickly moved into metal work (striking his first arc at the age of 8), fiberglass, and now includes paint, fabric, and graphic design to name a few. Fabrication, and prototyping are some of David's biggest passions.

Mari Elle is originally from south Florida, and moved to the Atlanta area as a child where she has spent most of her life. Her passion for creating has been with her since childhood, opting to draw and build things with scrap pieces of wood and forgotten about nails, instead of playing house and Barbies. Growing up with a father who owned a construction company allowed her to spend countless hours on jobsites encouraging her passion for building and creating. Her mother was an interior designer which encouraged another avenue of artist exploration as well. Wood, paint, fabric, and metal are a few of her favorite mediums. Design and hands on construction are two of her three favorite artistic outlets.
