Concrete Jungle (org) - Atlanta
The gist: This is a group of people who donate their time to collecting fresh fruits and nuts from untended and neglected trees around Atlanta, and donate these foods to help the poor and homeless. Sadly the poor and homeless struggle to get fresh produce into their diets at all and as a result suffer from varying degrees of malnutrition. This effort is incredible and is utilizing resources currently available, that are going to waste.
